Celebrate the accessible
poetry of Glenn K. Currie! In early summer 2009, In the Cat's Eye debuts with more poems and photos by Glenn K. Currie. It's an invitation to taste life. It's the chance to make the world more than the pictures on our TV, flipped on and off by remote control. In the spring of 2007, a new book of Glenn's poetry arrived. A Boy's First Diary tracks the chronological events of a 10-11 year-old boy through 78 diary entries set in the early 1950’s, written in non-rhyming quatrains. The book is quite different from the two previous collections of poetry: a black and white hardcover publication with a few black and white photos. In 2006 Snap Screen Press released another book of poems and photos by Glenn K. Currie. This collection of poems, Riding in Boxcars, is similar in format to Daydreams, but contains an entirely new selection of poems and photographs. A synoptic of Riding in Boxcars can be found elsewhere on this site. His first book, Daydreams, was released in 2004 and received excellent reader and reviewer response (see Reader’s comments). In limited distribution and promotion, the volume more than a thousand copies before being released into the national marketplace. Select a book and read a sampling of poems. If synoptic is unfamiliar, check out Merriam-Webster's definition. If these books are not available in your area, order your copy directly from Snap Screen Press.
